Common name of haritaki are Indian hog plum and Indian walnut. Haritaki is gentle laxative, digestive, tonic, expectorant and anti-dysentery. Myrobalan (Terminalia chebula) is a yellow colour natural vegetable dye produced from the dried fruits of tree Terminalia chebula which is mainly found in the himalayas. These dried fruits are first grinded into a powder form which is a rich source of tannin and can be used both as a mordant and a dye for cotton and other plant fibres.
